It's probably because it's meant to be comedic in this case. Misunderstanding plots are just way superior to do in comedic scenarios because you can make them funny asf instead of like in drama where it's supposed to be serious so they drag some dumbass misunderstanding that can be solved in one conversation for 15 chapters thus making every reader be aggravated by it.

this is the first misunderstanding plot that i like if it drags a bit i'll still think it's funny imo bahhaha
