Omg I wondered that too, I always thought the mother just thinks the guy friend was a "good influence" on her daughter but at the same time, how did the mom know abt the daughter stealing her car footage before she even stole the footage lol.
I also feel like after hearing her revenge plan, he’s trying to stop her bc he also knows what her mom is capable of. I think he’s being threatened. There was also that time, when he conveniently gave her a phone that only connects to Wi-Fi, and then her mom oh so happens to turn off the Wi-Fi the day she needed to contact namsoo.
I really feel like her guy friend is betraying her and is an informant of her mom. Idk. He seems suspicious to me because her mom doesn’t target him or something.
