this includes spoilers on the ML's identity.
I actually didn't expect for the manhua artist to use a chibi form for the ML system it sorta ruins the immersion for me because 1. I can't take his big head small body seriously. this wombo combo and 2. i imagined ML would only communicate to the MC with the typical system prompts and digital interfaces characteristic of other QT novels.
the faceless approach makes the scene (where ML first materializes his body for the MC to see at the end of the first world) even more impactful. showing how he looks like from the start kinda ruins the little mystery element for the reader in a way?? I don't like it. I'm not saying his physical form looks bad, but the fact that his corporeal body is already known to us is a little bit of a surprise killer. the infrequent appearances of his corneal body (in the first few worlds) is what made me interested in the slow development of their relationship
if "Reborn As A System" also takes this approach (if/once it gets an adaptations) I wouldn't know how to feel
tl;dr - manhua adaptation falls short of my expectations about the romance because of ML's corporeal body already being known to us from the start
