It has flashes of good writing but ultimately it's too in love with it's own nihilist atmosphere to do anything with it. Just having a story with rape that doesn't romanticize it and having angst pouring out of the wazoo doesn't make it a deep story. It's just a bunch of cobbled together angst tropes put together in a strange plot (yes a plot where the mc is forced to write rap songs about being raped is just bizarre). And I actually like the mc's character arc too
