I saw a panel of this manhwa on pinterest and jumped headfirst into reading it and oh god I didn't read the tags. I didn't even read the number of chapters and believing it had a happy ending completed it in half a day. My tears won't stop, my heart is in shambles and it hurts so much. Until the last chapter I had hoped it would not be sad but I'm not fine now. I had no idea everything would turn so dark and distraught. One by one all of them oh god this is so bad i can't help my tears.
For a time I thought that everything should just stop right where Haesoo and Su-a where in the hideout, just like he wished for in his death. It's so beautiful and so cruel. It's so rare to find a character like Su-a and then she went away just like that.
I wonder, how Eui Hyun lived after everything or if he even did...
I should've read the tags so I could escape this pain but I'm also glad I read it all.

100% agree!! I was left sobbing after finishing it... I had thoughts it would be sad with the themes of the little mermaid woven through the story, but I didn't know it would hit this hard...
So so tragic how no one got a happy ending, and I loved Su-a too, one of the things I liked is that she never forgave Haesoo easily unlike what most Shoujo protagonists would do..!
I really wonder about Euihyeon too... I've read some people say he committed suicide, and I've read others say he lived a full life... I feel it's so tragic either way... T_T
I would have loved all the characters to have been able to see a liberated Joseon no longer under Japanese colonialism...
I've been avoiding this manhwa for the longest time because of the tags but I'm so glad I finally sat down and read it all too.
