Well she had to kill the one she loved. Obviously it’s not easy to say the word love to someone again even if she feels that way.
No but her actions just don't make sense. She wants to die with him, says he's precious, ect, sleeps with him. She's causing him more pain, she's torturing him. I don't understand why she insists she can't love him because it seems like it's just to hurt him when. She cares about him greatly, that's a kind of love. But now she won't say it even though she was saying it chapters ago over and over to his wolf self. It just doesn't make sense why we're still agonizing over this.
Well wolf and human are two different beings. She can’t have the emotional or physical intimacy with a wolf that she has with the human. She says he is precious and is willing to die with him precisely because she loves him. But because of her past trauma she is unable to utter the word “love” to him lest she confesses and faces her feelings and then lose him too. Because remember the curse still hasn’t been lifted. It’s definitely frustrating to be honest. But understandable.
