Notice the change of words. Before it was "beautiful, wise and cruel" then, "beautiful, cruel but tender" and now he says, " poor, silly and lovely Jesse"
Oh how the tables have turned.

Aside from that, I found it really sad how the mother was literally telling Law she would pay him to stay friends with Jesse. I wonder if she knows that they're sleeping together and what would she do if she knew that Law already is aware of the family's little flaw.

And I wonder if Jesse got up from the dinner table and went away knowing full well that his mother would try to convince Law to stay here. This story is so addictive Im lovin it

Ps. People here are commenting about how manipulative and wicked Law is being, but is he really asking for so much? All he wants from Jesse is to know his inner feelings. If Law is among his thoughts or if he's just a pebble in the road. Law said himself that he has no intention of leaving Jesse but just wants to see Jesse's reaction. He wants to be indispensable to Jesse but that's because he loves him. Otherwise he wouldn't have stuck for so long. Jesse was the first to play with his mind and it's only fair for Law to do the same. Jesse allowing Law to use the program on him will be the first step to establish an equal relationship. Other than that, Law has never asked for anything else has he?

I think some of us believe Law has ulterior motives. Note how he thinks, "If I were him, I wouldn't tell anybody." I guess we'll see.

I agree with both of you! I think Law is still doing this out of love and to make himself indispensable to Jessie, but I also think that Law has started to lose it and its going to cause problems. It would be alright if Law only wanted to make them more equal (then I could die happy knowing they would improve their relationship) however, I think Law has only ever been taught to see the world as people who are on top and those who aren't. It makes sense that as he sees himself becoming more important to Jesse he would want to capitalize on it and gain as much power in their relationship as possible. This is how we are going to get a Law that would manipulate Jesse to the point of trapping him in moritat and any of the surrounding circumstances (like possibly! killing his parents!) Right now I want the story to hurry up cause I cant wait to know how it's all going to turn out in the end but I also never want it to end! Mostly I'm hoping that Law will actually have had a good reason for putting Jesse in moritat and that in the end they will learn to love each other properly and live happily ever after, but it doesn't seem super likely right now.
