There are no explicit or NSFW scenes so idk what your friend was referring to(although there are some cards that are lowkey suggestive but nothing more than that, most of them them don't even include a clear kiss scene so forget about anything else) , the game is available to 12+ audience, the main story is still in initial stage since the game only launched recently so there are lots of theories and speculations going around. Personally i love it, I love the battle system and how realistic it is, even the 3D visuals are amazing, absolutely love the graphics, there's lot to do apart from the main story, really A LOT. Even the main character (us) got an interesting and complex past.
