well that's the thing, people going "where is Ian" and "damn this is so long" is them being not interested in the current events lmao. as simple as that. guys read about Ian, became invested in Ian and now care more about the impact of him getting memories of the past life then the past life itself, that's it.
Cause theres a million other interesting things that have happened in this plot other than Ian. If aaallll you think about is how long the flashback is, it doesn't actually feel like you're reading the story or even care about it.
Like bro successfully carried out a coup, established a nation, got married, is about to conquer another dragon to get his way, and is gonna train to use mana and get stronger.
