She got the rights back, she made an official announcement. She said she would continue it, probably after she finishes her current series.

woah. When they made the chinese drama did she had the rights to the story though?
For those who don't know. The publishing company for this series was toxic. The author/artist had to leave, but unfortunately the publishing company owned the rights to the book. So this book will never be finished, because the author doesn't work there anymore and she is legally unable to produce more chapters
