Shinya ain't being hated cus he is a host, people are mad cus the story is supposed to make us think that Haru is stupid with his insecurities that actually seem very valid and is wrong for not immediately trusting a guy he has known for a day. It's literally told in the earlier chapter that Haru truly desires love, not sex, but instead of communicating or being nice about it Shinya dubcons him with a corny ass "i will make your body believe " line ofc ppl are going to get the ick.

He lives his life by being a prostitute but has the balls to judge a person he doesn't know a thing about outside of his job *because* of his job. its cus the manga is from Haru's pov + Shinya asked Haru to leave his job, when there is no talk about him leaving his job even when they both include selling their bodies in a way. Also Haru literally reached out to talk to Shinya after being ghosted, he is not "gullible" for not trusting his heart with a dude who he has went on ONE date with. The story is paced badly which makes Shinya look like an ass. And guess who people like more, naive insecure characters or characters who treat their love interests badly
i am also bothered by a job thing because Haru has no financial security and would be dependant on Shinya after leaving. Also do not agree with people saying "Shinya should leave as well becuase equality!!" cause he now has Haru to provide for over his sisters as well. Both of them landed in this sector due to reasons, its really not easy to get another job after leaving the sex industry but this is fictional so ehh. people just dislike when the storyline forces you to like a shitty character

They're both equally shitty jobs. In most places where sex work isn't legal prostitution is even worse imo. There's no legal regulation, most of the time the workers are scammed into being in debt and basically sign away their rights as a human being to barely make ends meet.
Also, this is a manga-- a fantasy-- so why are ya'll trying to enforce real life common sense into it lol
