The only person who considered the victim at fault was the victim himself. Everyone, Tsukasa and the perpetrator (I am bad with names) both agreed that it was the perpetrators fault. As for being brainless, that really is Murase's own fault. His own low self worth made him believe that nothing like sexual assault could happen. So, he never considered keeping his guard up... until it did happen. Eventually, just as he learned to devalue himself through his parents, he learned to value himself through the eyes of someone who valued him dearly. That was the crux of the story. By blindly following the idea that the "victim is at fault", you missed the much bigger picture that the mangaka was trying to convey. It is always best to set aside assumptions and read the story without prejudice. This isn't always easy when we, as readers, have either experienced these situations or have someone close to us who has. Most manga of this genre are simple stories that are love, sex, happy ending, done. For those, character growth is negligible and a weak or vile character remains as such. But occasionally there are true storytellers who have much deeper themes to reveal. With those, we must set aside personal prejudices and read with an open mind.
