Another perfect trait. A warrior who live for his people and die for his people. Become whatever his common people. We don't anything about his past. He can be taught to be a warrior for his tribe but tactics and political awareness & sensitivity, he must be self-taught. Books are very rare in that time, I assume, so he's learns from who and what.

Atw, I think he's suitable to be king than Sol. The dragon is a god, a living weapon. What do you think if one of the god/deity/angel in your religious descend and become leader of the neighbor country? Of course, the nations in the SS2're afraid that Sol will take over them too.

Also, Brian is not perfect. He has been powerless, made to be a sacrifice, he has trusted the wrong people. He has been confused as what to do. He has made wrong choices he regretted, he’s made others worry.
He is not a perfect character, but he is an interesting one.

yes. the fact that s1 priest lorkan and king sol are as good as they are is because of brian. dragons who only care about power, ended up leading their respective nations for centuries. thats all influence of brian.
its no wonder they would seek ian when he was reborn. thats the person that made them who they are.

I said he's perfect, self-sacrifice heroic character because he accepts to be sacrifice for the dragon for his tribe, and later still wants to help/give his all to the very commoners that cheered for his sacrifice.
