HOW?! Why did she go to jail, even if it was a shorter period (which it clearly wasn't since he got to high school at least while she was there)? Even on the version that Dokja remembered at first (which is clearly what she told to protect him), it was clearly self defence. There was an active attack on both her AND her child. Add in battered woman syndrome and there is no way she is guilty of anything.

    Korean crim law doesn’t make much sense, especially in practice.

    The most fucked up about Korean law and from the crime documentaries I read from Rotten Mangos, the law protects the perpetrators and suspects more and the victims are more heavily punished. This is why I hate South Korea, it’s like no different from the North
