I think it works out perfectly. The seme/sadist loves his partner and tries his best to tone down so he doesn't scare him away. While he was doing that the uke/masochist was trying to learn to be riskier for his partner. It's perfect (▰˘◡˘▰)
I actually enjoy mild types of bdsm a lot (I usually read fanfics with bdsm themes). So when I realized there was bl stories including it, obviously I was very interested but my interest has slowly dwindled throughout the years and honestly I tend to avoid bdsm works on here.
So many of them are basically abuse and rape, the characters hardly ever have a relationship behind the play and most of all; a lot of them completely leave out aftercare, which objectively is my favorite part. Not all of them, but a lot of comics end up that way.
Although some parts imo was questionable, this was unexpectedly a very nice read, I liked the characters and their relationship even behind the sm play. Happy to say I enjoyed it, the art was very pretty as well.
