exactly. he is a victim. this poor boi has dealt with so much shit his whole life. it's so hard to be stuck between hating or forgiving people whom you know you loved, and in Sohan's case, a person whom he thinks is he's supposed to love. not only are societal norms probably playing a part in this whole idea of "putting family first no matter what"-mechanism of his--but at the end of the day he is an abandoned child with a deep hole in his heart that yearns for a parent.
To readers who's angry that he's forgiving his father, i am too, angry. But cant blame him he's a family, it's not that uncommon that even if your parents did something bad or worse than bad, no matter how shitty they are to you, you will still be able to forgive them（/TДT)/
