I just reached chapter 25 and I feel like I want to get run over rn. I was fr screaming “NO DONT YOU FUCKIN DO IT.” And he of course took the challenge. Man the amount of no shame he has makes me sick lmfao. There’s a diffference between a character having no shame and it’s meant to be funny vs a character having no shame and they’re just a doormat. He is the latter. I feel like the author did the exact same thing the ML did: ML had the mc in happy spirits and then suddenly crushed his hope within minutes. Now reading that chapter as a reader, it felt like I was relieved when the mc said he was gonna give up, but then the next scene is just him deciding to keep holding onto him. Is this author the ML themself?!

Bro this reminds me of heroine shikkaku (though that manga is way worse lmao) where the ML kept rejecting the FL as she bravely confessed over and over. But once she gave up, he got mad saying “was you feelings that little?” Same exact concept where the ML here be testing the mc.

Anyways I got too much pride for this. If I were the mc’s friend in that moment and knew what he decided to do. I’d literally knock his lights out and be like “nope.” And give his ass amnesia cause I can’t stand to watch this embarrassment. It’s giving me second-hand embarrassment and I don’t wanna catch that lmaoo.
