Self insert?

Why is everyone talking about self insert all of a sudden? I really like her character and everyone else + the story is good so I don't care ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I don’t get the concept it’s not like the characters are that relatable or bland enough to self insert. I think everyone is uniques and has a dark side that is considered the norm there so~ idk

Yeah they're just interesting characters to me, the norm for most fantasy Manhwa I read tbh

Because the MC is a self-insert of the author. It’s sort of obvious if you notice they both have the same name. Also I think maybe it’s because she acts like a mary sue

But is that a bad thing? I don't think it matters much and Jelack doesn't feel like a Mary Sue to me, maybe with her eye before but she's pretty normal to me
    She's a typical MC imo

    Mar·y Sue
    noun
(originally in fan fiction) a type of female character who is depicted as unrealistically lacking in flaws or weaknesses.

Either or. Normally it's authors but with fan fictions like Y/N it's readers.
