Oh his attitude is definitely bigger in the novel. It’s the type of: “I don’t need your opinion I know I'm better than you”, he is also more arrogant, you could mistake him for a self cantered fool. However, he is pretty smart and kind, he was just hurt so much in the past that he is closed off and has his walls up. He is a little naive only when it comes to emotions, that’s why when ML acts sad, he truly gets worried. Besides, he is not foolish to get manipulated by ML, as literally everybody gets manipulated by him, his bankruptcy is legally real, it’s related to his family. However, he himself in reality isn’t bankrupt. The contradictory personality of MC is what really makes this fun. Also I don’t remember anymore what exactly happens in the novel but MC never suffers a loss in this relationship.
thank you for sharing!! idk how the novel goes exactly compared to the manhua, but so far I really don't like how ML is playing him. I know he actually likes mc and would never harm him, but that still doesn't change the fact that he's taking advantage of mc's nativity and is fooling him in a sense. like you said mc is obviously very kind and worries about ML, so the fact that the ML is playing these mind games doesn't sit right with me.. that's just me tho. and he's obviously not even half as bad as most other semes
This MC has so much self respect that I actually gained some when I read the novel. Transformative experience
