Yeah... not mentally tho? It's the struggle with mcs that get in a youger body. If they get together with someone same body age they are groomers/pedos and if they get with someone same mental/soul age the partners are the pedo/groomer ones...
But to me the absolute worse is when besides the "age gap" they are raised as siblings and get together. Be it step or adopted... and just to be clear I'm talking about the brought in as family member and not as future spouse or as sponsorship, those are bad in another sense but less worse to me...

You should know by the description that this is 100% one where the FL picks up the ML early in life and he loves her his whole life lmao I just take solace knowing they usually dont get together until they are adults. Also theres no winning in this situation if you like isekai/regression. Either the FL goes with someone their own physical age or ends up with a grandpa.. I just decide to let it be as its not like the FL goes into this wanting to groom someone
Yep! My bottom line in those... is if she "thinks" like an adult... but simps over the kid... if she keeps gushing about how pretty, beautiful or handsome he is and keep being dazed by their looks... that's when I feel to Eeeeew to keep reading. Even more so if they are less than 10yo... like 11 12yo I can still pass it as first puppy love... but younger than that... it's fricking weird...
I agree. Ones where the FL is like "wow hes so handsome" and starts blushing over a literal child makes me ill and its an insta drop for me. Intentions are what matters in this situation. Like did FL genuinely want to help them or have non romantic motives and ML fell for them and they end up together as adults? Perfectly fine. Or was her intention always romantic/she falls for him early on? Disgusting and drop. I also think its wrong if FL cultivates a family-like bond (i.e. acknowledges that they are like their son) then falls in love.. like that one with the witch and ML is a blonde who she raises from childhood. Its a genre with a surprising amount of nuance lol my general rules of thumb are 1) FL should have non romantic intentions 2) ML should fall first 3) No reciprocated romance until they are adults
