Well first things first. Anastasia was never an empress, she was a princess. The youngest or one of the younger daughters of the royal family when they were murdered during the Russian revolution. And it's not that her body was never disposed properly, it's that her body was never found. Or at least we weren't able to identify it with the other remains of the royal family. Especially since the castle was burned down so most of the body's were charred anyways. Could have been a translation error but wanted to clarify. If anything I say is false please correct me I'm going off of my memory of events

    The mistake between empress and princess was probably just a mistranslation since these aren't the officials
