First life, no one got their happy ending. Second life, everyone did get a happy ending , even if it was bittersweet for the emperor and messenger. The messenger couldn’t live without the emperor so in the end he sacrifice his life to become a demon just like the emperor (I could be wrong. This is how I just interpret it) Third life, so far two out of the three couple is getting a happy ending. I don’t know how the author gonna go around with the brother. I felt like , they have their best ending in the second life because they were just adopted brother and they null the adoption to be together .
