Yeeeees!!! That's true!!! That's how i felt as well with the spice scenes. I mean, we were given a fluff, cotton, marshmallow concept all throughout the series, then the sides were... *Faints* its not like the Broken Ring that you knew from the start there will be special smut scenes.. i mean it's practically the whole vibe it's giving.
I think the artist wanted to try doing something like that so they did.

uhm first of all wtf. i DID NOT EXPECT SPICIES FROM THE SERIES. AND I DONT KNOW IF ITS JUST ME BUT I ALWAYS FIND IT EMBARRASSING WHEN AT FIRST 50+ CHAPTER IT'S PURE FLUFF AND THEN GIVES EXTRAS AS R19 BCS FR I FEEL MY CHEEKS BLUSHING LAEK BRUH I DIDNT KNOW YOU GUYS CAN BE THIS SPICY.
anyway, story wise, like the usual story we all read. nothing so so special and it's quite predictable bUT WE ARE ALL A SUCKER FOR THIS KIND OF STORY. the misunderstanding era is sO FRUSTRATING I ALMOST DROPPED IT.
other characters are also kind of boring other than the ml, fl and fl's father.
tHE VILLAIN THO. dofoc. hate both of them. the restraining thing made me anxious the whole story tho, it was a great feeling of angst when it comes to the family story of FL. but it somehow healed by daddy issues so.

I've been a reader of this story ever since first chapter and I'm just happy it ended already and that I get to finish it.
