The size difference

The guy is so small compared to everyone and everything else and not in a particularly good way...it looks weird, not to mention that both bottoms look underage and effeminate asf

Neither of them look underage. Perhaps the facial expression is very childish and cutesy. And what's wrong with feminine men?

I didn't say anything about it being right or wrong, I just stated my opinion. I just personally don't think it's original (unless you're stuck in the 90s) to write a yaoi story where one of the characters is portrayed and treated just like a woman (in the most stereotypical and cliche sense) but with a penis and short hair if you know what I mean

I don't see where exactly they're being treated like women. Personally I think the whole term "effeminate" stems from patriarchy and toxic masculinity. A man can be feminine and a masculine man can love a feminine man and vise versa without claiming the feminine man is being too "womanly". Femininity ≠ women.

That's why I used the words "stereotypical" and "cliche"... I'm just tired of the cliche heteronormative stories man, my comment wasn't that deep. Yes, femininity shouldn't be associated with being a woman, but saying that femininity is NOT directly associated with women in real life (thus rejecting to acknowledge misogynistic acts and beliefs) would be ignorant and harmful.
It is not required to have a feminine/masculine or dominant/submissive dynamic in a relationship in order for it to work, but that's what you see in most hetero-sexual/normative relationships both in real life and in fiction (Which is a misogynistic and patriarchal mentality in itself). Yaoi and yuri, both genres that are supposedly free of these binary restrictions fail victim to this mentality and outdated storytelling. I'm not saying that these tropes are inherently evil, they're just outdated, most homosexual relationships (or interactions between the same sex in that matter) do not function like this. By ignoring these facts you're subconsciously reinforcing the idea of bottom=submissive=feminine & top=dominant=masculine which is...meh, you do you, idgaf at the end of the day

We won't be able to reach to the same conclusion by continuing this convo since our personal tastes don't match to begin with (I despise omegaverse with my entire being) so let's stop.. I stated my opinion, you asked me to justify myself, I did, we disagree and that's fine
