Be so for real rn, yes Ruby is Ellen’s family now but that’s only of recently she’s only just now getting to know her and you’re acting like she’s also actively making threats on her. It is obvious why in the moment she defended Martha(?) that woman had been with her since she was a child being attacked by her mother and Martha raised and saved her. In the spur of a moment hearing the accusations I’m sure she did have a lapse of judgment and couldn’t believe it. And in the end she still decided it was best to banish her from the estate despite this being a woman she trusted practically her whole life. Also Freya obviously set Ruby up to be hard to believe between her long connections with everyone and her acting. Ellen wasn’t there and she was told by her long time friend “Hey, Ruby got mad and dumped tea on me” and in return she even tried to understand and ask Ruby what actually happened despite the circumstances. She has since been further questioning Freya and being more cautious of how Freya speaks of her and calling her out for it. I don’t know how you can enjoy reading anything when you only look through such a one sided view.

That's literally the point "AT THE END" after the damage is done. Fl continued TO Get harassed because Of izek sister decision to kick the maid AT THE END.
You also told that fl didn't defend herself during the tea part. But why not look from her perspective, how much alienated and alone she must have felt to feel that nobody would belive her because from day one she was treated like a shit.
Alright I went back reread 35 bc I’ll admit I forgot that scene. I agree she did have some clue and should’ve questioned it more however, Izek points out Martha twisted it and due to her long term relationship with Ellen can manipulate her more easily as well. I understand your point that despite how close they are she should still consider both sides before jumping to her maid’s side but realistically most people will defend someone they’ve known longer. It also doesn’t help Ruby that she’s been setup time and time again in the series so the reputation and credibility she has is even lower due to this. Not saying it’s fair but that’s how it’s perceived by others.
I guarantee if she hadn’t banished Martha she would have eventually gotten overconfident again and harassed Ruby again. So yes banishing Martha did help put an end to it and Ellen clearly feels bad that she did defend Martha all along and feed her information without ill intent.
Regarding the tea party, I do understand Ruby’s perspective and I totally get why she can’t easily defend herself in the situation! That’s why I mentioned Freya set her up so she honestly couldn’t. That being said I also understand everyone else’s perspective! For Ellen she’s still coming to terms with the fact that she needs to be more considerate on how Ruby is being treated hence why she asked! Ellen doesn’t grasp yet why Ruby can’t just tell her she believes from her point of view she’s doing all she can and doesn’t know any other way to go about getting Ruby to be truthful to her in the same way Ruby can’t yet be truthful. So from her view Ruby didn’t deny it however Ruby’s attitude at the end of it her helplessness did go noticed by Ellen. Ellen has since been more thoughtful and down her own research and is improving a lot! She interviewed Freya over the incident again and she now calls Freya out for talking bad about Ruby.
I completely understand Ruby and how difficult it is for her and why she can’t speak up about certain things, but I also understand how it’s viewed from Ellen and I see her tremendous efforts to get better and question it more so she can help her.
Also I apologize for my super long responses and my aggressive attitude I had in the first response. I was tipsy that night not that it’s an excuse. In all honesty I’m enjoying this conversation and I’m also glad to find a fellow Izek hater bc I haven’t forgiven his interactions in the earlier part of the story!

It's my fault because I was too hasty to judge izek sisterI was too focused on fl being treated like shit and on top after izek sister had told her to kys silently. My brain bursted out and typed this comment
And I don't like ml too ,he hasn't done any major retribution. He has started treating fl good but that's just most basic thing in a relationship.
Frrrr!!!! He was horrible in the beginning and in my opinion none of the reasons he gave for being an asshole back then made sense or justified it. Like sure a lot was miscommunication but why not just communicate it then? Instead of staring daggers at her you could explain later on you did it to keep her safe?(if I’m recalling the tea party where Freya poisons herself correctly) And yes he is ‘good’ now and ‘likes’ his wife now but he just gets to sweep his horrible treatment under the rug and forget it happened and continue to wonder why maybe his wife still can’t tell him everything. No amount of cute romantic scenes between them now can change what he did and his poor apologies for his earlier actions. I’m team let Ruby live in the wild with her dragon and monster friends!
He was so set on sending ruby back to her creepy family because he thought that was the right thing for him to do Without consulting ruby. He could have easily communicated with the fl. He becomes sad when fl runs away and his done with his retribuition ,meanwhile fl is fighting a damm war
The monster reminded me of my neighbour totoro. It would have been better for fl mental health if she actually lived with them. But we are by gonna have that because there would be no romance.
