She asks him if she was always in the palm of his hand and if any of the choices she made were truly her own..
She then goes no contact with him for a week to take some time off..
Also the aunt is so out of touch, she also plays an obstacle in their relationship.. both in the past (she sent her away to her verbally abusive aunt’s family) and now

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that the aunt said he should use the death of some of their employees as a chance to "shine". But hey it already left a bad taste in my mouth that the male lead was abusing his power as her boss to prevent her from going on dates. Let the woman make her own choices without manipulation!
