The trial was a set up. They had already planned to execute her. So the s class hunter guy involved the church to save her. A saintess by default becomes a ward of the church. So that’s where she was taken after the trial. But the crush has 2 factions and the more powerful one opposes the saintess (probably because her existence means less authority for them) so the guys were planning to help her leave the city where she’s in danger everywhere. On the way they were attacked by fiends sent by Ellen/Skiya and Dion intervened and helped them escape. But the short 2 braided girl brought Seina back because she felt (probably through some connection) that Dion’s life was in danger. So she brought Seina to Dion and teleported them b to the spirit realm maybe because it’s safer there and time is stagnant or slow there.
I feel like we are missing massive parts of the story. Are chapters not being uploaded? They never showed how they got to the trial or when she ended up with the church. You just see trial, and then random rescue mission? There’s no context in between and it’s super disorienting.
