I have been putting off reading this ever since it's first chapter because the premise and plot were really intriguing and looked new to most used tropes so I'm happy i didn't read it until now bc it would have ruined my enjoyment, alas i still bawled since the 1st chapter ryeong literally suffered more than jesus give him a break please, his dad,the she-tigress and her husband, I'm mostly curious about ryeong master why did he kill him did he discover that he was involved in the conspiracy against jae bc how did he specifically meet ryeong amd offer him to become an ascendant if he wasn't watching him or did he kill that one close apprentice who was close to ryeong or did he cause some of the bad karma ryeong had in his life or the most probable option he didn't kill him with his choice same as his father because he said he loved both his father and master so much we'll see

Just my opinion n not a spolier, but I always thought some action Ryeong did lead to his master’s death, not that he actually killed his master directly but he did take the blame and punishment for it bc he felt guilty that he indirectly caused it or maybe his master died while saving him somehow. In the scene where he’s talking to his master’s body that likely just died, Ryeong was begging him not to leave him and crying until that one dude came into the cave and found them like that. Can’t wait for that revelation from author-nim and more memories to be revealed

Ohhh god Now that you mentioned it it's seems more probable he does seem to have more guilt of him causing his master death than killing him maybe it has smth to do with his master sealing his memories or you remember when his apprentice friend told him to keep his wits about their master and find smth he himself wants to do with his life the author said thro twt that they are recovering from wrist injury not really sure since i just used a tl but they didn't tell when they will be back hope they get better and heal
