Came to check out Stranger bc I someone wrote it had a similar vibe to "The Pizza Delivery Man and The Gold Palace", which I adore. Unfortunately, the resemblance is merely on the surface level. Storywise, this one isn't romantic and feels like we're watching a kid being groomed. I would not mind a romance between the characters IF the older guy acted differently. As soon as mc hits 18, ml goes and sleeps with him because now it's legal. He never asks if he wants to continue his studies or make him less dependent on him financially. He has a "do what you want, it doesn't matter" approach that bothers me because mc is so very young and inexperienced and needs to learn to be confident in himself and his abilities. I'm at the end of season 1 and not sure if I should continue reading this. I wanted both to be supportive of each other and learned to grow and communicate, but at this point I only like mc and feel like ml is a predator, so I can't even enjoy the cute scenes as I was supposed to.
