since leo appears to be the male lead (at least, he has that ML vibes we all know) and it was hinted several times that he has a loving family and his country is far better than the FL, i bet/hope that in later seasons they discover that the curse that killed her mother did not came from the ML's father, but her own sister or idk fiancé instead
