This is obviously the main plot, the author is trying to talk about the ravage of wars throughout all the manga
It's clear why he despise the story if people like you still encourage him to write funny little things
I mean- the whole reason Loid is even a spy in the first place was because of his non-existent childhood caused by war. Plus, this part of the story adds depth to the side characters cuz they aren't just npcs... No matter how much you wanna see this manga as a slice of life, it's world is still built on lore.
This is the main plot. The story is based on a war, this is more context about it. Plus it says ch. 98 and not a decimal number . When it’s a side story it’s numbered like ch.98.1
Saying you want to see the main plot means you didn't understand a thing of what you have read because this is the main plot
