The big ghost bird valendieu? Yes, I think it was mentioned in the novel but it was around volume 4, it's been a long time ago so it became fuzzy
just mentioned that vandeliue fly around without explanation but the only one that can fly at that time is knocken so I kinda expect him to ride knocken not became a bird
He can fly though, he uses his spirit form skill to morph his spirit into bird like, it was mentioned in the novel too. Well he can fly by using levitation in no attribute magic which he often uses in the novel since volume two.
