I honestly don't think that this dude is the bad guy. It looks like the sister may have lied about him betraying her? I mean like we've all seen misunderstandings and I don't think he's a bad guy because he hasn't displayed any bad guy things. He doesn't cheat or lie or mess around, all he does is just stay really quiet. He even in the past taught her so much stuff that he learned from our world. What if he's a cool guy that was framed for being a bad guy? Like what if after he learned that they killed his wife, he went ballistic and destroyed the world for her? Or maybe he turned back time or maybe the gods did or something happened. I'm not convinced He's the bad guy because he hasn't flexed any bad guy feelings or vibes. I think he's just wondering what the heck happened and wants to get to the bottom of it and I think a part of him still loves her
I want you also to consider that the sister have NO reason to lie to her sister she going to kill.
The sister knew that the truth will hurt more than if she lied, lying to someone on their death day isn’t going to be useful to see them in absolute pain.
So telling the truth is much more painful and effective to cause FL pain in that scene.
Personally I still don’t like because I don’t like when mcs take past lovers ╮(￣▽￣)╭ they could give him a whole redemption arc and I’d still prefer a diff ml… also something about him just gives me the ick.. now that she’s been reborn,,, I don’t like how he acts towards her… plans change, wouldn’t he trust that her dad had another plan? Why is he so fixated on her… I’d like to hope he’s actually a good guy, but also hoping she ends up with someone who can actually protect and assist with her revenge when she needs it (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
End game is our ML (white hair, her husband in this timeline) don’t worry (it’s pretty obvious that she end up with him)
I also agree, Jiho (black haired, iseked) gives me red flags vibes but gaslighted as green flag.
That's what I've been observing also. I mean in the first timeline the black haired guy was isekai d in the world he didn't know and he was still confused about what was going on in his life and in the near future living in this new world And I think in the first life, he cared for the FL but didn't know how to expressed it. He thought maybe FL's family cared for her and fed him lies that's why it came to that situation where fl died instead. We only seen the part's where the FL tragedy went.. we haven't yet discovered or knew what happened to the black hair dude after his "wife" died, Sooo yeah

(if I pretend idk the spoilers yet) if he is truly trying to make amends for his past mistakes, then shouldn't he suck it up and be happy for her after observing that they seem to have a peaceful marriage life? instead of being selfish and showing intention that he wants to snatch someone's wife? Since they could be seem happy or at least respect each other as married partner from his pov or 3rd person pov in duration of this event.

It's like when we are forcing someone to forgive us because we already apologise. For me, we apologise for our mistake to show that we have remorse and guilty feeling for inflicting negativity in victim life and also self reflection and plans to be a better person(try not to do same mistake). Forgiving is entirely the victim's right (except if there are demands of how they would forgive them-that one is within boundaries, yet it is still entirely up to them to forgive us or not - - exception were only referring to absurd demands not forgiving rights).
Because the black hair guy behavior right now can be seen as imposing on the married couple. Forcing someone to accept his amends in his own way that do not benefit and in any consideration of the victim(FL) at all. Which is, rude.

Okay I'm coming from a place that I'm not sure what the spoilers are. Because people are saying this and that and I've noticed that sometimes it's not what it seems. So what I'm wondering is, maybe he thinks that she was forced into marrying this guy and he wants to know if she is all right. I mean like, if I found out my friend's family forced her into a marriage, I would like understand that she can't be upfront on what's going on, because we all know about how abused wives pretend to be happy but they're not, but I think he's trying to figure out if he's treating her right. If she is happy with him. We've all seen people who've been in abusive relationships lie, I'm wondering if he's wondering the same thing too. Like if he's really does care about her, he's like, I just want to make sure this dude's not messing you up and you're just pretending everything's okay because you know, I don't know if divorce exists in this world and there are definitely no women shelters and she can't just get a job or go to college and get a better job or something like a doctor or anything. I don't see any women doctors in this world so it's like, does she even have her own choices. So that's what I'm saying. I don't know the spoilers, maybe he just wants to make sure she's okay and maybe he does love her and so he's like telling her, I love you and if he's not treating you right and you need somebody to save you, I'll be here for you but as I said, I don't know what's going on with this dude's head right now but he's not giving me bad guy vibes. Hm.. If I just see this through the black hair pov.. I guess it could make some sense.. If black hair pov of FL as a pitiful woman.. But that kinda contradicts with her move to save herself by marrying someone who she knows hates her family.. Because by that judgement (cz he knows that she chose her husband , everybody does) she is boldly trying to change her fate and might even plan for revenge.. So wouldn't the train of thought leads to thinking their marriage is contract marriage by mutual interests.. Because black hair also thinks FL is smart when he taught her modern world info.. Unless the what IF is like he wanted to join them or something because he was also taken advantage of by FL family.. So he duels to Duke to see whether the Duke really is strong and smart to take her family down and then would ask to join their venture for revenge together..
I think this would have made more sense rather than "saving" her from the husband she chose at the flower crown confession chapter.. Because given how smart black hair is, (which is why he can adapt in this world and achieve a lot of achievement in quite quickly) I think by that character design he should be able to figure out why she chose Duke as husband and brought idea that she is plotting escape and/or revenge just doesn't know the detail to the tee of how she plans to execute them..
