I just don’t even understand the whole concept and why it’s such a beloved tropes. It’s actually fucking disgusting. The only consolation is Abel only spends from what i gather less than a year with the prince, but clearly makes an impact on his life. Abel isn’t there to technically raise him, but this is certainly borderline in rationalizing a child you once took care of but is now entertain that child as potential romantic partner. It’s like the baby sitter situation in Crazy Stupid Love
