What’s with the Vince yoen hate?????

Just one thing to point out: people can dislike and hate characters as they want. Calling people dumb for simply not liking a fictional character is stupid itself.

Now my take on it is that I don’t hate Vince but I have mixed feelings about him. I can see why others would not like him. It’s mainly because of his own mixed feelings of him having feelings, regrets and missing yoen even now as he has feelings for aryka.

The yoen hate, seems more easy to understand though. Falling for and going for the person you know your sibling likes, is a basic messed up thing to do. Being a teenager does not excuse everything, and many teenagers would not share that same mindset. Teenagers have common sense, and would also not forgive such actions easily if their own sibling did that. As a sibling myself, the moment I start feeling for someone my sibling likes, I’m automatically distancing myself- because I care more for my sibling than some new guy I met.

You also fail to notice the red flags about yoen’s actions. Yoen could have stopped anytime once he noticed how he was feeling. He also purposefully lied once he was caught by aryka. Even if he lied cause “he cared about his brother.” That’s contradictory since he made the choice to follow through on his feelings then upset his brother by contradicting them. Making his brother feel worse by his lie. Like aryka had literally said in the moment, he wouldn’t have minded if yoen truly had feelings for him- but not if he was just fooling around. Yoen CHOSE to specifically say all that, knowing the potential it could hurt Vince. Then when yoen was caught, he was ready to go back on what he purposefully lied to his brother about. This was not care for his brother. He valued his feelings more the moment he kissed and spent more time with Vince. Saying he cares cause he lied, was only to ease his own guilt.

Also what was yoen planning to do if aryka actually believed his lies? Was he gonna let aryka go for Vince? And then what if Vince still went after yoen? Would yoen be able to resist despite not being able to do so before? If aryka believed yoen, was yoen just planning to continue being all lovey dovey in secret with Vince?? Either way, just the fact that yoen was so ready to let aryka believe all that crap, shows he also knew exactly what Vince hated and didn’t care to say those things even if it was lie. He specifically chose to say the worst things??

its one thing to hate a character for valid reasons and another thing to completely mischaracterise characters and simplify their actions, i mean to say that yoen deserved to die when all he did was accidently fall in love with his brothers crush is wayyy too overboard

thats the thing, he wasnt thinking ahead he only said those words in the heat of the moment cuz he really cares about his brother and didnt want to hurt him and he also felt very guilty for the kiss i mean he never imagined that he would develop romantic feelings toward vince but feelings are unpredictable and uncontrorable, i mean im pretty sure the kiss was also impusive, he just wanted to convince aryka its sooo obvious he didnt mean any of it, theyre teenagers u cant expect them to do everything with calculations and stuff, people make mistakes under pressure especially young adults, its a part of the human nature, i just expected people to have the least amount of empathy to understand that and not immediately start hating on those characters and wishing they died like come one people

I dunno about those that told them to die, I didn’t think that way. But we also have no clue about yoen’s feelings. That’s just an assumption to think he felt very guilty. Combining the memories Vince has together with yoen, yoen didn’t look that guilty. Yoen didn’t even look like he was planning to say anything about his feelings or the kiss until aryka caught them in the act. When aryka confronted him about it, yoen barely had an expression of regret or sadness. The only time he really did was when realized Vince heard all of that. To say he cared for his brother in that moment doesn’t seem right, it’s more like you wish that was that was the case. Like I said, teenagers know better. You CANT excuse every teenager’s actions when they’re not dumbasses. It’s similar to excusing teens who bully just cause they’re young. They know right from wrong most of the time.

You fail to remember all the times yoen chose to stick around by vince’s side and have PLENTY of alone time with him. He hung out a lot with Vince and NEVER told aryka that they were even close. It sounds more like you’re excusing what he did just on being a teen. Yoen looks more guilty that he got caught. He deflected the situation by blaming it on fooling around. He specifically chose not to be honest despite the several chances aryka gave him. He only wanted to be honest when Vince overheard it. He didn’t seem to care much about aryka, because if he did- he would’ve been honest. Common sense would be that yoen should’ve realize he ALREADY hurt aryka by lying and kissing his crush. Him suddenly going back and pretending it was nothing does nothing to prevent aryka from being hurt. The damage was already done. It felt more to me that he wanted to salvage any standing with his brother by acting like he wasn’t serious. Anyways I’ve dealt with such situations like this irl with an exfriend, funny enough they gave a similar excuse that what happened between them and my crush was “nothing.” blaming it on the moment. I didn’t care that much about my crush, it was just the betrayal and blatant lying.

Care for his brother!? Nah I don't think so... Just look at how he brush of when Aryka ask if they were close and he denied that they're just classmates with not interaction. And the fact that Yeon choose to lie when Aryka honestly reassured Yeon that he'll be fine as long as he comes clean and tell if he really likes Vince... Aryka is the one that cared for Yeon he's willing to back down as long as Yeon is serious about Vince! But Yeon choose to lie with the most cruel and detailed personal problems that Vince was having a hard time with...

hmm.. i can see why you would this that yoen lying bc he cares about aryka is not true but i still feel like its not an excuse to say he deserved to dieeee like bruh..., but i still stand by the fact that vince does notttt deserve the hate ok yoen COULD not care about aryka and jsut make excuses to make himself feel better
