I think she’s trying not to have any children purposely because she swore to the other kingdom (her lover’s kingdom) that her little brother (who’s engaged to that kingdom’s princess) will succeed her. Having children will weaken her little brother’s claim and as you know from history, it’ll be a huge mess lol
