Same but if we look at his past and his life we see that he has real issues connecting to people and allowing them to see his real self (all the pain and anguish) and how he just runs away from everything
Plus we saw his pov and how much he knows the power of the bully (who probably has a crush on the ML but doesn’t realize it)
It was hella shitty but made sense in his frame of mind
exactly!! randomly making him a complete asshole
Feels just like lazy writing to have ML run off with only a five word text... doesn't really fit with the rest of the story
