yes is "はい / hai" very short and easy to say, actually less syllables than no and what you said is very true
Fr like there’s dubcon too where like maybe they didn’t say yes out loud but in their head we the viewers can see they do in fact actually enjoy it (since it’s fiction dubcon is fine for me), but like instead they just make the bottom not want to at all and continuously saying he doesn’t want to. They didn’t even build the relationship up first :(
Yknow I can understand authors wanting to have one character be more forceful and the other more hesitant and shy right, but it's not hard to do that and still make it consensual like idk you can do both??? Writing consent is so easy all u gotta do is write the word "yes" coming from one of them. Literally three letters. Or whatever the japanese equivalent is but it probably isn't a very long word either.
