Well, It's been long since i read the novel but some of the things I remember is that at one point they "broke Up" and the little mushroom leave to go back to his cave. In the way there almost died a few time but was able to scape... or something like that, I'm not completely sure It was like that.

Don't worry, it's a happy ending^^. It's just kind of sad every time An Zhe cries. Also, the ending feels a bit empty for me. I hope they mention more about what happened to the other characters, like An Zhe's acquaintances.
