The art room and porn ghost story almost seemed to be a continuation of Mr Hikuma's story, but the author didn't feel the need to continue in that universe. It's a shame, I was really hoping that they would follow up on the teachers abilities, the history of the town, the implied involvement of some entity in the murders... but instead she really just followed through with the handwavey statement of "he was crazy". I was really hoping that they'd find out there was more to the story.
