i havent read the books but i loved polin's carriage scene, specifically the last thing colin said when he got out of the carriage. i thought that was smooth as hell. i think it showed a lot of new relationships though and it was hard to care about benedicts relationship.
I also havent read the books, but Ive seen a few spoilers. The Carriage scene was so hot. Im so excited for part 2. I wonder how he's gonna react when he finds out she's lady whistledown. He has to find out at some point
It felt really rushed for me because I felt like the couples from the previous seasons had a bit more slow burn and I get that they have known each other forever and have been friends for a long time so they're starting from a different place but I wished they'd shown the progression on Colin's side from viewing Pen as just a friend to something more a bit better. I also really liked that they showed a new side to Cressida instead of just this two dimensional mean girl stereotype they started with. I'm curious to see how things will go between mama Bridgerton and lady Danbury's brother I mean she's been a widow for a long time now and most of her kids are about to be married off so time to get a little action for herself I guess? :3
Yeah it definitely felt rushed I agree. but I think that was done purposefully. Their relationship conflict will most likely start when he finds out she's lady whistle down. Then its gonna get spicy and heated
in a way it's been building up from previous seasons since pen always loved him and we can see how important she was to him. he was never ashamed to be her friend and he was never afraid to ask her for a dance even if it looked a certain way to other people. so he's always cherished her, i can see how it felt rushed though, i wouldve wanted more moments between them. still, i like that as soon as he had his "oh" moment after their first kiss, it didn't take him long to come to terms with his feelings, and again, he's not ashamed to be in love with her or tell other people how he feels. If there was any hesitance, it was moreso cause pen is his friend and he'd always seen her as that. it's kind of refreshing to see him be so straightforward and direct with saying he wants to marry her especially when others view her as a joke. im so excited for the lady whistledown reveal though !!

My thoughts:
I was a bit disappointed, but Im hoping part 2 will be better. I felt like Polin hardly had screentime and I wanted Colin to grovel way more. Their progession of their relationship felt really fast, but I supposer after he finds out shes Lady Whistledown things will take a turn.
