Well depending on your country, some have limits regarding how far you can be left back in school, which could by why you still graduated.
Iam pretty sure she is repeating since she has no magic, i don't think it's an intelligence problem.
it also depends on the school! a parent was complaining in our school wanting her child to get to the grade in her age, just get an exam or smthg yet it wasn't part of the school's program so
girl i can't believe someone as stupid (as mc) be repeating the first grade i fail almost my class but still manage to graduate smh
