It’s very clear that they like each other, the only reason people think otherwise is HOW they act on their love. Skylar is more reserved most likely due to his trauma and Cirrus is more open probably also due to his trauma. Skylar doesn’t want anyone to find out he and Cirrus are gay because he’s scared yet Cirrus WANTS to show off their relationship so that he doesn’t lose Skylar. They’ve also been horrible to each other since chapter 1 so it’s not that much of a surprise that they have communication issues in their relationship, it’s like an unstoppable object meeting an immovable force. The mischaracterization of both of them is insane and makes me want to rip my hair out.

imo im a bit more critical of cirrus because his background aside, we can’t forget he blackmailed and sexually harassed skylar. a lot of people tend to forget that so im a bit on the back burner about how initially rude skylar was to him
the mischaracterization from some of you had me thinking you read the story with your eyes closed. skylar does like cirrus guys. it might not be as deep for now but don’t forget how he used to treat skylar lmao?? it would make me cringe seeing yall overly criticize or defend one party when both people are traumatized teens figuring out boundaries and how to love each other respectfully
