If you are not up for psychological stuff then don't read it from the start
There are a bunch of fluffy and relaxed stories out there
If they communicate well and don't behave like shit then this will be a normal and healthy relationship which will make the story lose it's meaning
Also, if you read other fucked up stories you'll find these two quite cute actually ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Ofc I don't mean anything offensive 'cause I myself like reading fluff stories more than this type of stories but I will make myself ready before starting something tagged with psychological and possessive lover
you're excepting some traumatized kids to act like grown up adults, that's the issue. this isn't your usual rainbows and fluff story, it cannot be like that. not just yet. they need time, and communication they just started dating and their past trauma is still haunting them and make them act that way. I'm sure they'll do better though, they're both loving each other although their difficulties. it's a realistic story for most of us that can relate to them and their insecurities. the author knows what they're doing and perhaps they won't even end up together, that's also a possibility, but there's also a chance they'll find their happiness and healing via each other's company in the future.
for now this is toxic, again, they need time and healing but if you cannot handle this kind of stories, then try to looking into something else, maybe something less complex. cute stuff is everywhere
I can handle this stuff. Which is why i read it. Im just expressing how dumb the author progresses this story. It has so much potential and its just, adding such unnecessary scenes in my opinion. I know how teens work i know how mental illness can affect communication and interaction with society. My comment wasnt meant to be mean or ignorant i was genuinely just reacting on how unexpected and dumb the scene was. Out of no where instead of finally taking the hint to communicate since this exact senario happened more than once the author just puts a random hook up scene and thats it?? nothing angsty nothing psychological abt this scene.
Again, i literally read this stuff. if i didnt i wouldnt. I love when there’s representation on mental illness and how well they can be portrayed. However youre twisting my words of what im focusing about. this specific scene, In my opinion wasnt needed, the hook up scene was so unexpected and just dumb? I feel like the author just put that in there for, just cause yk? It felt like it was there to keep it somewhat interesting and didnt make sense with the mood the chapter was already creating. Im getting so many back handed comments under this post it’s actually funny my point is being missed entirely???
Maybe you have a point here but kids their age do things like this all the time even if we find it unacceptable
And maybe the only reason to draw this scene was to make it ironic after their friend thought they aren't really close
Finally, don't be offended by my comment 'cause I get your point but there were to many other comments that spoil the reading experience for us like this is just fiction why making it personal? Just enjoy what you're reading
that random "hook up" it's what's progressing the story. their actions were hurtful although they did not want to, they were mad, they wouldn't have had a calm discussion: that's the point of that scene. they're kids, they want each other, and they took the opportunity to be next to each other again, an opening to a discussion later. there was no sex btw, they just kissed. they slept next to each other. in the morning Skyler went home. yes, some talking would've been ideal, but this relationship isn't perfect, people aren't perfect and they're not taking the best actions everytime, especially in cases like this one ; the author is writing about some teens that don't understand their feelings, they're just following them, not some rational grown ups.. although, have you ever heard about make up sex? yeah adults do that too, just to get closer to each other, to burn up the tension between them and calm the waters to have a discussion without hurting each other even more.
give them time, they're gonna get plenty of times to set boundaries and talk about their relationship.. this maybe wasn't the moment to, but the way the author is handling this is very good. I really trust their writing.
I mean the comment section is to express your opinions on a story, i put mine out bc thats what i didnt understand in ONE scene. Not the whole manga, me talking about once scene isnt going to spoil anything. I am enjoying this but why cant i comment about it ((((( + ur comment wasnt rlly offending idrc u just missed the entifd point of my other one so i was just clearing things up ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
ngl I was very skeptical about it at first cuz the author is dealing with heavy topics and I've learnt to just stay away from things like these cuz it's usually just romanticized toxicity, treating it like it's no big deal, making me feel very uncomfortable yet this one is just.. doing its job, making this really relatable to some extent, I feel their feelings and their struggles. I'm reading stuff since I was very young and no other story made me so feel so close to the characters like this one.. although god, it's like on thin ice with every chapter that's out but IMA TRUST THE PROCESS
Oh yeah cuzz imma definitely hook up with someone who just beat my ass and told me the cold heart truth about their “love” to me. I WILL APOLOGIZE BUT THAT PERSON WONT, SO LETS HOOK UP??? maybe im getting it wrong but this is so messy. i give up reading this. there is no hope for these two, separate them now
