I read the whole novel in kinda proper english translation without getting caught in spoiler and maybe I’m too oblivious to caught on myself, trust me, the story was way more enjoyable without spoiler (although sorry I’m gonna talk about spoiler here)

I hate rape and DV that’s for sure, I don’t wanna justify Ido’s action either, but in first 70 chapter-ish at novel without spoiler you will be only see Ido try to redeem his past by showering Sejin with love, teach Sejin to use his right, to be independent, even being independent from Ido. What makes me unsure about how I see Ido are, the guilt in him is so real (as it should be!) to the point he couldn’t sleep and anxious all the time. More importantly, the fact that until the end, Ido still believe he doesn’t deserve Sejin and ready to commit suicide again in second timeline to create ultimate happiness for Sejin. So in the end, all he wants to do in second timeline is to make Sejin happy, not make himself happy. I super hate Ido in first timeline, but the moment he cried in second timeline as if that was the last time he will see Sejin before he commit suicide again really make my heart pang.

It has a happy ending tho.

Because they bonded (Ido imprinted Sejin on 1st timeline). Bond can only be broken if one person dies. In order to make Sejin completely free from him, he believed he need to die :’)

Also, Ido was a complete mess without Sejin, I don’t think he would survive long in that condition anyway.
