Yeahhhh thats why its a common trope in historical manwhas to hate on the illegitimate child despite doing nothing but exist. Cause purity and all. Nobles just really like purity back then. So I think if a woman who isnt a certain status gets pregnant with a higher ranking it means shes trying to move up and it can possibly taint nobilities purity or smth along those lines.
