Celphi's mom has the realest reaction for someone who knows about that curse. I know Pereshati doesn't mean any harm but she actually is acting quite oblivious and ignorant here

    I agree
honestly love Pereshatis character because she has good intention and always carries herself with confidence, even though she’s literally in the worst predicament
And I appreciated how she was always good at communication throughout the whole novel up until this point, which is also not necessarily her fault either because she doesn’t know as much as she could
Something I also would like to say is that Celpphis mom knew what she was getting into and after having a child, she made the respectable decision of leaving
And I think this is something that should just be respected yk
The family doesn’t talk about it because it’s probably not important to talk about and they obviously have a bigger issues to worry about since they can literally die at any minute and they have a rapist princess chasing after them lol but also she respectfully left them
And the reason they probably keep tabs on her is because someone is selling their blood illegally and that’s putting their family at stake and many peoples lives so obviously they have to keep track of people that are kind of related to their family yk
And not even to be rude, but she should’ve known that they’re gonna kind of do this because she knew about the curse and she overall knew what she was getting into
But her anger is justifiable tho
But Perschti honestly, should’ve not gotten involved and should’ve minded her business and just respected the fact that she decided to leave that family that’s it lol - Celphis mom has no idea that she is immune to the curse so obviously she’s gonna give a warning like that and the reason that she left in the first place is because she didn’t want to die duh
