Same. While I understand the father was a victim of the empress, I prob would just want to never see the father if I'm Etienne. Too many painful childhood memories.

His father did regret at the end but Etienne already lost his trust towards him
And just because he is his father, he did treat him better at the last few chapters
If I'm Etienne, I will never forgive him
He never did what a father should do
He never protect his own son
And he didn't even realize that his son can die anytime, thanks to his 'wife'
