As the law stands he can't. But my thinking is maybe Rishar will be crowned so he can change the rule and then maybe step down and appoint Etienne? That's the only way I see it happening because I don't think the current emperor would change it. But I agree I hope Etienne does become emperor to change the stigma. Plus Rishar doesn't want to be emperor but we know he'd do it to save Etienne in a heartbeat.
I really hope etienne becomes emperor, sure they can get married, but I wish he would be the one to take the role, banning all omega from it is dumb, he really showed good qualities to be a king!
