She's not trying to get him to marry rishar? If anything she does see rishar as competition and that's why she was pumping Etienne with suppressants ( remember when he collapsed before the heat). She wants Rishar out of the picture, she wants Rishar DEAD.
yea they’re saying they don’t understand why she wants rishar dead, they’re saying theoretically she should want to use rishar (by marrying him to etienne) bc it would still give her power
she doesn't just want a part of power. she wants it whole. if rishar were to marry Etienne he's guaranteed to end up as a good King. but if Etienne were to become King, she could continue to control him like her own pawn which she has been doing since the beginning
It has became a norm that omegas can't be kings... if her son marry the duke, it's the duke who would be king with the whole nation backing him up while her son will only be his queen. Its not the same thing at all. I don't think he would be that respected in court since it's pretty humiliating to be dethroned from your real status only to be the new king's wife. Besides, the queen's family will lose power if that happened, the main reason people follow them is because they think they have a future with etienne as a crown prince.. power isn't shared with royal couples, it almost always goes to one side or the other (imo)
I dont get why the evil Mom isn’t trying to have Etienne marry Rishar in the first place. Like, if Etienne marrys Rishar, that still makes him royalty, and in turn, keeps her family in power, right? Plus, that would mean the dad would literally have no other choice than to accept her and her family because HIS son is married to the guy HE chose as emperor. She wouldn’t even have to hide he was an omega at that point- isn’t she an omega too? That would essentially mean Etienne would have the same position as her so, again, not like she would loose power.
